Dr Taylor is an board certified orthopedic surgeon with the TriHealth Orthopedic and Sports Institute. He is a Cincinnati native and attended Walnut Hill High School, Kenyon College, and the University of Cincinnati Medical School. He then did his internship and residency in the Milwaukee County Hospital system where he received excellent training in trauma. Next, he did a yearlong Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at SportsMed SA in Australia.
He returned to Cincinnati and has worked in private practice for over 18 years, specializing in sports medicine, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, and shoulder replacement. He has served as team doctor for a professional Australian Rules football team, multiple local high schools, and charity running organizations. As a former collegiate soccer player, marathoner, cyclist, and enthusiastic aging athlete, David understands the unique challenges in caring for athletes of all sorts. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He enjoys teaching residents and fellows at Bethesda North Hospital and has been consistently voted a Top Doctor in orthopedics in Cincinnati Magazine by his peers. He is one of the founding members of the TriHealth Orthopedic and Sports Institute.
